Do I need to reserve equipments?
Please make your reservation through via internet or by phone.
Can I rent without a reservation?
Yes, as long as equipments are available. Please check with us first.

How do I make a reservation?
Please make your reservation through via internet or by phone. Online reservation will be confirmed when our staff responds to you.
What information do I need when I make a reservation?
Please let us know the following information on the phone. 

  • Your name, address, and a phone number (mobile is preferable)
  • Rental period, when/where you want to pick up and return the equipments
  • heigh(s) and shoe size(s) for all members

Can I make a reservation other than online?
We take phone reservations as well.

What are the payment options?
If your reservation is made 4 days or more proir to the pick-up date, please pay us through a bank transfer. We will email you our bank account information.
If your reservation is made within 3 days (or less) prior to the pick-up date, please pay us in cash upon arrival.
Can I change the size after the reservation when the rental equipment does not fit?
Yes, you can. We will help you fit and adjust the equipments and wear.
How can I change the pick-up date or numbers of people?
Please contact us what you wish to change. If it is less than a week prior, please directly call us.

Is there a cancellation fee?
Reservations must be canceled one day prior to the pick-up date via phone call for a full refund.

If there is no phone call to cancel, there will be no refund, and you will be charged for the full payment.
Can I chage ski rental to snowboard rental on the day of the pick-up?
It is possible with changing fee of \2,000. Or if you let us know one day before the pick-up date (or two days if you wish to pick up at your accomodation), you can change without the extra fee.

Yes, tax is included on all the rates on our website.

Yes, there is a discount for 6 or more people. Please let us know when you make the reservation.

Is there extra charge for early morning pick-up or late night return?
We are sorry, but we are not open before our operation hour; however, we can deliver your equipments to your accomodation the day before if you wish.
There will be no charge for returns after night skiing. Please let us know the returning time when you pick up.
What are the rates for children with adult sizes?
Child rates will apply.

When is the operating hours?
We are open from 7:00am to 8:00pm
If you wish to visit us during off-hours, please let us know in advance.
For example, we accept returning after night skiing.

When and where do I pick up the equipments?
On the pick-up day: Please come to the shop.
On the day before: we can deliver the equipments to your accommodation (only in Furano area). Please give us a call when you arrive.

How do I return the equipments?
Please return them during our operation hours. If you do not have a car, we cal pick up at the ski area.

Please keep all the equipments with you if you are renting for more than 2 consecutive days.
Do I need any personal identification to rent?
Yes. Please bring your driving license, insurance card, or the equivalent.
“One day” rate is from what time to what time?
During lift/gondola’s operating hours in Furano Ski Resort.
Do you have a bag for boots, ski/snowboard, and wear?
Yes, we do. Please let us know when you pick up. You may use them for free.
What should I do if I cannot return on the returning day?
Please contact us.
Can I pick up the equipments at the ski area or my place of accommodation?
Yes, but please let us know one day before the pick-up. We will try our best to meet your request, but we may not be able to do so depending on how busy the shop is. Also, we will provide boots with different sizes, but if they don’t fit you, you may have to come directly to our shop.
How do I return the equipments?
Please return them to our shop.
You may also return them at the ski area or at your place of accommodation. Please let us know your preferance when you pick up. Please understand that we may not be able to meet your request depending on how busy the shop is.
Please keep all the equipments with you if you are renting for more than 2 consecutive days.

About ski and snowboard

What does the “set” include?
Our set includes the followings. 

  • ski set: ski, boots, poles
  • snow board set: snowboard, binding, boots
  • wear set: jacket, pants (including gloves)
  • accessories set : gloves, goggles, a beanie
  • Full set: ski set or snow board set + wear set + accessories set
What is the size range?
From 120cm to 185cm (height).
What is the size range for each equipment?
Please see the details below. 

  • Ski boots: 18cm to 28cm
  • Ski: 120cm to 170cm
  • Snowboard boots: 18cm to 28cm
  • Snowboard: 120cm to 170cm
How do I choose an appropriate size?
We will select an appropriate size based on your reservation info.
Can I change the size when the rental equipment does not fit?
Yes, you can. Please feel free to talk to us.
Can I change the size even after the pick-up?
Yes, you can. Please come to our shop to change.
How do you choose the ski size?
Unless you have a particular request, we recommend a ski 10cm shorter than your height. If you do have a preference, please let us know.
How do you choose the snowboard size?
Unless you have a particular request, we recommend a snowboard 10 to 20cm shorter than your height. If you do have a preference, please let us know.
I am a beginner and don’t know how to buckle the ski/snowboard.
Please do not worry. We will show you how to use the equipments when you pick them up.
What types of snowboard boots do you have?
We only have a soft type.
My car does not have a ski/snowboard carrier. Do you have a rental one?
No, we don’t. However, our carving skis are short enough to fit inside most of the cars. If not, we can help you deliver them to the ski area.

About wear

Does “wear set” include accessories?
Wear set does not include cessories: goggles, and cap.
Full set does include those three accessories.
What are the sizes of the wear?
The sizes are the followings. 

  • Adult: S, M, L, LL
  • Child: 120cm –
Can I rent only the jacket (or only the pants)?
Yes, you can.
Is there a changing room?
Yes, there is one in the pension next to the shop.
Can I come with absolutely no equipments?
Our full set provides you almost everything you need.
You can buy a sweat shirt and tights to wear underneath at a nearby store in Furano.
What should I wear underneath?
We recommend clothes that are easy to move such as sweat shirts, sweat pants, and tights.
Should I bring extra clothes to change?
Yes. You often sweat a lot while skiing/snowboarding. A change of clothes will be necessary.
What kind of socks should I wear?
Knee-high socks (for sports) are recommended. If your socks are too short, your skin might directly touches the boots, and it may cause pain.
Do I need a cap?
You often fall while skiing/snowboarding. Please wear a cap to protect your head. Also, it keeps you warm under the freezing weather during December to February when the temperature often hits -20℃.
Should I wear two socks because it’s cold?
We do not recommend it, for the socks may slip inside the boots and make it harder to control your balance. Also ski/snowboard boots are made to retain heat.

About Furano Ski Resort

How long is the waiting time for the lifts and gondolas?
You hardly wait to get on, but in the past when a big event is happenning, there was approx. 15min wait.
(as of 2014-15 season)
Is there a parking area?
Yes, there is two parking areas for free; Kitanomine Gondola and Shinfurano Prince Hotel.
Is there a child care?
Yes. Please check Furano Ski Resort official website for more details.
Are there hot-springs?
Yes. There are several in/out of the city. We are more than happy to introduce them to you.
From what age does the adult rate apply to?
From 13 years old. For children at the of 12 and under also need to get a “free pass” at the ticket center.

Which area should I check for weather forcast?
Furano is located in Dohoku, Kamikawa area.
Please refer to the weather forecast below. 

What should I do if the equipments break?
For your safety, please contact us as soon as possible.
If you are at fault for the break, you must pay according to our compensation policy.

Is there a transportation service after the pick-up?
Please contact us at least one day before the pick-up date. We will try our best to meet your request.
Can you keep the luggages?
If you are returning your equipments at the shop, we can keep your luggages. Please keep your valuables with you or use lockers at the ski area.
Are there accessories for purchase?
We have some gloves, caps, and goggles for purchase There are more at the ski areas.
Do you have a coupon for hot springs?
Sorry, we don’t. However, we can introduce you to an open-air hot spring for free.
Do you have a coupon for lift ticket?
Sorry, we don’t. However, there are reasonable packages that come with meals at the ski area. Please check them out.
Are there accommodations near the shop?
We also run a pension. Please contact us for the details.
